ART PRINTS Now Printed on Recycled Paper

On March 1, 2019, all art prints will increase slightly in price from $15–$22 to $20–$28. Persika Design Co. art prints are now printed on RECYCLED PAPER!!! We are working on ways to transition to more sustainable production & packaging methods. This causes an increase in costs but we know it’s worth it for you & us because ya know, the world needs saving & such.

Thanks for understanding! Make sure to grab any prints you’ve had your eye on for the lower price through the end of February!

You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.

WHY RECYCLED PAPER?

Typically, most artist prints are printed on cotton paper. The focus is on them lasting for hundreds of years… But what about the planet? Will earth as we currently know it last for hundreds of years?

Cotton production comes at the cost of a significant carbon footprint. Not only that, but paper products, in general, create an enormous amount of waste in our daily lives.

So I thought, “What do my customers really care about?” (Besides supporting local art & childhood dreams. 😉) And I realized we’re a lot alike… We both want to leave the world a better place than we left it & do our part in taking care of this earth because its state is truly in a steep decline.

That’s why I decided to transition all of my art prints to be printed on recycled paper. It might be a small change now, but I feel deeply that it’s important to make these kinds of decisions about the future of my business & practice now, at the beginning… Because I intend to do this for a while. 💕

I’m excited about what the future will bring & I want to make sure I’m thoughtful & intentional about every single choice, big and small, in this whole endeavor. I’ve been making art ever since I can remember. The reason I started this company wasn’t about a bottom line. It was about creating a life that I love to wake up to every morning & the only way I’ll be able to wake up having had a restful night’s slumber is if my company is in line with my conscience.

I care about your values. I care about the things that ignite your passions & the issues that you feel deeply about. Leave more ideas in the comments & I’d be happy to bring them into the discussion.
